1TRAVIS MCKINLEY DOW MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP FUND

Supports students bound for Humboldt State University pursuing theatre, art, film, or dance. The scholarship amount is $1,000. This scholarship may be found at the following link http://www.hafoundation.org/haf/scholarships/apply-for-a-scholarship.html

2. BOBBY SALCEDO MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

The Bobby Salcedo Scholarship committee will offer 10 scholarships this year to El Monte Union High School students. This scholarship honors the memory and promotes the hope Bobby Salcedo had to see his students continue their education past high school. Please come to the Career Center to pick up an application.

3. LOS ANGELES FEDERA CREDIT UNION SCHOLARSHIP

LAFCU is pleased to offer nine scholarships totaling $6,000 to deserving students who have officially been accepted to, or who are currently attending, a college or vocational school.  The amounts are $1,000 (3 scholarships), and $500 (6 scholarships), and the application (which includes writing an essay) is on our website at http://www.lafcu.org/site/scholarships.html.

5. JACK BARTON ACADEMIC MERIT SCHOLARSHIP

The purpose of the Jack Barton Scholarship is to select a student who has demonstrated outstanding character and achieved exceptional academic merit. The recipient will receive a $500.00 scholarship. For more information come to the Career Center and pick up an application.

6. HOWE/OLSON SCHOLARSHIP

The Howe/Olson Scholarship wishes to identify students that have demonstrated exceptional achievement and have great interest in either English/Language Arts or a Foreign Language. The recipient will receive a $500.00 scholarship. For more information come to the Career Center and pick up an application.

 7. NISSELEY SCHOLARSHIP

The Nisseley Scholarship wishes to identify a student that has consistently demonstrated exceptional athletic achievement. The recipient will receive a $500.00 scholarship. For more information come to the Career Center and pick up an application.

8. LEND A PAW/MERIT SCHOLARSHIP

The purpose of the Lend a Paw/Merit Scholarship is to select a student with exceptional character and ability who meets selection criteria, yet may not be able to afford a college education.  The award intends to provide monetary assistance to help a student complete either a two-year Associate of Arts degree, a four-year college education, or a vocational certificate at an accredited vocational school.  The recipient will receive a $500.00 scholarship.  For more information come to the Career Center and pick up an application.

9. Seiji Isomoto Scholarship Fund

The Seiji Isomoto Scholarship Fund wishes to recognize and reward graduating high school seniors of Asian-American descent who have demonstrated excellence in academics and athletics throughout their high school career.  Applications are available in the Career Center.

10. EL MONTE UNION HIGH SCHOOL ALUMNI ASSOCIATION SCHOLARSHIP

The El Monte High Union High School Association Scholarship will be awarded to deserving El Monte High School seniors who plan to continue their education after graduation. Please come to the Career Center and pick up an application.

11. MISTY S. QUINONES MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

The Misty S. Quiñones scholarship awards on the basis of your personal statement question responses and most importantly individualism.  Scholarships are awarded based on Scholarship Committee review and family approval.  As a reminder this scholarship is unlike any other, we will decide on recipient with Misty in mind.  Life is too precious to be taken for granted.  Remember to always live your life to the fullest.  Good luck!!

 12. RICHARD SANDELL SCHOLARSHIP (counselors select students)

The Richard Sandell Scholarship, recognizes student achievement through athletic participation in Boys Varsity Baseball and Girls Varsity Softball with a GPA of 3.0 first semester of Senior year.  The amount of the award will be $750 to each recipient.  For further scholarship criteria, and to pick up an application stop by the Career Center.

13. ASIAN AMERICAN ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT ENTERPRISES (AAEDE) SCHOLARSHIP

AAEDE wishes to award scholarships to students who demonstrate financial need and plan to continue their education after high school graduation. Awards range from $500.00 to $1000.00. Come the Career Center for an application.
