1. CELEBRATE SUCCESS EDUCATION AWARDS

Fagen Friedman & Fulfrost is offering four awards:  Going Green Environmental Program, Student Art Contest, Why Education Matters Essay Contest, and Education For All Photography Contest.  To apply for any of these awards go to www.fagenfriedman.com/foundation

 

2. FATHER COLFFIELD / JOE VENEGAS SCHOLARSHIP

This scholarship is sponsored by the La Historia Society Museum of El Monte. The purpose of this scholarship is to award one student from each of the 6 EMUHSD schools a $100.00 award that may be used to help pay for college expenses. Pick up an application in the Career Center.

DEADLINE: April 30, 2015. Submit the completed application to the Career Center.

 

3. LOS ANGELES FEDRAL SCHOLARSHIP

If you are a high school senior under age 18 who is not yet a LAFCU member, ask your parent or guardian to call us or visit www.LAFCU.org to open your membership prior to filling out and submitting the application. Scholarships available to LAFCU Members attending college after August 2013.  Please view further scholarship criteria and apply online at https://www.lafcu.org/scholarships.html

4. LATINO UNION UCR SCHOLARSHIP

Latino Union is a non-profit, community service organization that not only strives to unite the Latino community at UC Riverside, but also seeks to promote higher education and the advancement minorities both in and around UC Riverside.  Latino Union is pleased to announce that we are rewarding our Fourth Annual Latino Union Scholarships to two (2) qualified incoming freshman students who intend to study at UC Riverside with one (1) $500 scholarship each.  Applicant does not have to be Latino oriented, or identify as Latino to apply.  Applications are available in the Career Center.

5. EL MONTE HIGH SCHOOL SCHOLARSHIPS

     II. Adrian Castro Scholarship

     III. Howe/Olson Scholarship

     IV. Lend a Paw Scholarship

     V. Nisseley Scholarship

There are 5 different EMHS Scholarships. You may apply to any and all in which you meet the criteria. Please come to the Career Center to pick up an application.

DEADLINE: Tuesday, May 5th, 2015. Submit the application to the Career Center.

 

6. EL MONTE UNION HIGH SCHOOL ALUMNI ASSOCIATION SCHOLARSHIP

The El Monte High School Alumnus's are sponsoring multiple scholarships for the class of 2015. You may apply this scholarship to any post-secondary education path you follow after graduation from EMHS. Please pick up a paper application in the Career Center.

DEADLINE: Wednesday, May 14th, 2015 @ 8:00am. Submit a completed application to the Career Center.

 

7. RICHARD SANDELL SCHOLARSHIP

The Richard Sandell Scholarship recognizes student achievement through athletic participation in Boys Varsity Baseball and Girls Varsity Softball. This scholarship was established to honor the memory of Richard Sandell. The amount of the award is $750.00 to each recipient. Applicants must be members of either the EMHS varsity Softball or Baseball teams and have at least a 3.0 GPA from the first semester of their senior year. 

DEADLINE: Friday, May 15th, 2015 @ 8:00am. Submit a completed application to the Career Center.

 

8. WANG FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP

This scholarship fund targets students attending identified community colleges (please see application in the Career Center). This scholarship provides for at least two consecutive years for students attending a community college in the Los Angles an Ventura County areas. Please come to the Career Center to find out more about this scholarship and pick up an application.

9. ASIAN AMERICAN ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT ENTERPRISES (AAEDE) SCHOLARSHIP

AAEDE wishes to award scholarships to students who demonstrate financial need and plan to continue their education after high school graduation. Awards range from $500.00 to $1000.00. Come the Career Center for an application.

10. NAVAL RESERVE OFFICERS TRAINING CORPS (NROTC) SCHOLARSHIP

The NROTC Scholarship Program offers students the opportunity to earn their degree and receive valuable leadership and management skills while enjoying the benefits of an exciting career.  To apply and to view further scholarship criteria go to: https://www.nrotc.navy.mil Information also available in the Career Center.
