1. CELEBRATE SUCCESS EDUCATION AWARDS

Fagen Friedman & Fulfrost is offering four awards:  Going Green Environmental Program, Student Art Contest, Why Education Matters Essay Contest, and Education For All Photography Contest.  To apply for any of these awards go to www.fagenfriedman.com/foundation

 

 2. AJ WANG FOUNDATION

AJ Wang Foundation was established as a non-profit organization in November 2008.  The foundation is led by a couple who immigrated to the U.S. to pursue the “American Dream.”  The Scholarship Fund is targeting students attending Foundation selected community colleges in the Southern California area.  The Scholarship Fund provides scholarships for up to three consecutive years for students attending the designated community colleges in the Los Angeles, Ventura and now Orange County areas.  This scholarship is for U.S. resident, citizen or Dream Act eligible.  For further scholarship criteria and to pick up an application stop by the Career Center.

APPLICATION PERIOD: April 15 – June 1 Annually

 

3. FATHER COLFFIELD / JOE VENEGAS SCHOLARSHIP

This scholarship is sponsored by the La Historia Society Museum of El Monte. The purpose of this scholarship is to award one student from each of the 6 EMUHSD schools a $100.00 award that may be used to help pay for college expenses. Pick up an application in the Career Center.

DEADLINE: April 29, 2016. Submit the completed application to the Career Center.

 

4. JACK C. MATHEWS SCHOLARSHIP

To be eligible for the scholarship, you must: 

  • Be a current member of Los Angels Federal Credit Union (but not LAFCU employee nor a family member of an employee)
  • Be a high school student graduating in 2016, or be a college, university or trade school student attending school in Fall 2016.
  • Have a minimum 2.50 GPA
  • Submit all required paperwork along with a completed application by deadline.

5. SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA GAS COMPANY SHCOLARSHIP

The program is open to graduating seniors in The Gas Company’s service territory who will be attending a vocational/technical school, two-year or four-year college or university. Selected students attending a vocational/technical school or community college are eligible for a $500 award. Recipients who attend an accredited four-year college or university are eligible for a $1,000 award.

DEADLINE:  May 1, 2016 (Postmark Not Accepted) 

 

6. EL MONTE/ARCADIA CIVITAN CLUB SCHOLARSHIP

The El Monte/Arcadia Civitan Club is a non-profit service organization with a special focus on helping those with disabilities.  They are offering a $500 scholarship to a local high school senior who plans to attend a college or trade school after graduation.  To pick up an application stop by the Career Center.

7. MISTY S. QUINONES MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

The Misty S. Quiñones scholarship awards on the basis of your personal statement question responses and most importantly individualism.  Scholarships are awarded based on Scholarship Committee review and family approval.  As a reminder this scholarship is unlike any other, we will decide on recipient with Misty in mind.  Life is too precious to be taken for granted.  Remember to always live your life to the fullest.  Good luck!!

8. RICHARD SANDELL SCHOLARSHIP

The Richard Sandell Scholarship, established in 2007, recognizes student achievement through athletic participation in Boys Varsity Baseball and Girls Varsity Softball. It is a one time annual award given to a senior baseball or softball player seeking a higher education. The amount of the award is for $500.00. 

DEADLINE: Wednesday, May 18th, 2016 (Submit to the Career Center). Applications are available in the Career Center

 

 

9. EL MONTE HIGH SCHOOL SCHOLARSHIPS

     III. Howe/Olson Scholarship

     IV. Lend a Paw Scholarship (AVID Students only)

     V. Nisseley Scholarship

There are 5 different EMHS Scholarships. You may apply to any and all in which you meet the criteria. Please come to the Career Center to pick up an application.

DEADLINE: Wednesday, May 18th, 2016. Submit the application to the Career Center.

 

 

10. CALIFORNIA LATINO LEGISLATIVE CAUCUS FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP

The California Latino Legislative Caucus Foundation (CLLCF) is pleased to invite all qualified California residents to apply for a scholarship.  This scholarship program was established to assist deserving students by offering financial assistance to help meet educational expenses. Please come to the Career Center to pick up an application.

DEADLINE:  June 1, 2016, application must arrived by their office by this date.

 

11. COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIPS FOR HOMELESS AND AT-RISK STUDENTS

The Horatio Alger Association provides approximately 1,000 scholarships each year (ranging from $2,500 to $20,000) to eligible students who have overcome adversity in their lives.  To apply go to application.horatioalger.org   

DEADLINE: June 1, 2016 

 

12. AAEDE wishes to award scholarships to students who demonstrate financial need and plan to continue their education after high school graduation. Awards range from $500.00 to $1000.00. Come the Career Center for an application.

13. F3 STUDENT AWARDS

The F3 Education Awards Program offers a series of education awards for students attending California public schools. F3 is committed to support and celebrate public education's success. For further scholarship criteria go to  F3AWARDS.ORG

 

14. INSURANCE SCHOLARSHIP

 If you’ve never heard of insurance scholarships, then listen up. These top insurance scholarships offer financial support from $500 to     $10,000 to a full-ride. 15. NAVAL RESERVE OFFICERS TRAINING CORPS (NROTC) SCHOLARSHIP
